Breakfast Will Fund Books


OSWEGO – Enjoy a great breakfast and support the Oswego Bookmobile and the Friends of the Library on March 18 from 8 a.m. until noon at the Masonic Lodge, 75 E. Seneca St., in Oswego.

Breakfast includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, French toast, sausage, eggs, home fries, milk, juice, coffee and water.

Requested donation is $8 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12. Children under 6 eat free.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the breakfast for a variety of gift baskets, for a Flytech Bladestar Helicopter, for a wooden welcome sign, and for a scratch board of lottery tickets.

There will also be a raffle for a beautiful handmade book quilt.

Raffle tickets cost $1 each, six for $5 or 15 for $10.

Tickets for the breakfast and for the quilt raffle can be purchased at the Oswego Public Library, or from any member of the Friends of the Library or the Oswego Bookmobile.

Tickets for the quilt raffle will be available at the river’s end bookstore, 19 W. Bridge St., and at the Quilt with Passion store, 142 W. Second St.

Friends of the Library supports the Oswego Public Library and reading in the community by creating public support and awareness for the library through public relations and community engagement efforts.

Oswego Bookmobile’s mission is to empower children in the community to be readers.

The Bookmobile brings free books and healthy snacks to at-risk children in Oswego City School District neighborhoods during the months of July and August.
