FULTON, NY – Fulton Community Theatre’s 25th anniversary season concludes this Thanksgiving weekend with two more performances of its popular “An Evening On Broadway” musical cabaret series.
The production, titled “Broadway Dreams” is the 14th edition of FCT’s “An Evening on Broadway.”
It will be presented in a dinner theatre format on November 28 and 29 at Tavern On The Lock Restaurant, 24 S. First St.
The Saturday dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. showtime.
For the Sunday matinee, dinner will begin serving at 12:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. curtain time.
Tickets for the dinner and show are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and students.
Show only tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
Reservations may be made by calling Tavern On The Lock at 315-592-2661.
The production is under the direction of Michael A. Bolio, with Dan Williams as musical director and accompanist.
The pair previously directed FCT’s 2011 cabaret edition “Enchanted Broadway.”
“An Evening on Broadway” first debuted in the spring of FCT’s 1994 season. It was revived in 1999 under the title “An Evening on Broadway II” as part of the theatre’s tenth-anniversary season.
Since 2005, the cabaret series has become a staple of the theatre company, with editions appearing in nearly every season.
Each production is based around a theme, be it a composer, a time period, or even a style of Broadway music.
For the upcoming production, Bolio and Williams are working with their cast on solo, duet, and group numbers that are personal favorites or music that they have always wanted to bring to the stage.
Simply put, their own “Broadway Dreams.”
“For our 25th anniversary, we wanted to capture the idea of the dreams performers have when they step onto a stage, be it an intimate dinner theatre cabaret, or a large Broadway theatre. The connection the singer has with the music, the stage, and the audience,” said FCT artistic director, William Edward White.
The evening of music will feature the singing talents of Marguerite Beebe, Molly Marie Brown, Beth DeRousie, Colleen Deitrich, Sabrina Woodward, Bolio, Robert Kovak, Adam William Schmidtmann, Williams, and White.
