OSWEGO, NY – On Wednesday (July 22), at approximately 5:23 p.m. investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force, in conjunction with the Oswego City Police Department investigated the reported possession and sales of illegal drugs within the city of Oswego.
Investigators made contact with three individuals in a green Dodge Neon at 137 State Route 104.
A passenger in that vehicle, Steven C. Pena, 19, of 575 Herkimer St., Brooklyn, NY, was found to be in possession of 66 individual bags of crack cocaine and 105 illegally possessed Oxycodone tablets, according to police.
The illegal narcotics have a street value of approximately $3,825.
It is alleged that Pena possessed the narcotics with intent to sell.
Pena was arrested and criminally charged as follows:
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, intent to sell – Class B Felony – two counts.
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree – Class B Felony – two counts.
Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree – Class A Misdemeanor
Pena was arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bail bond.
He is due to reappear in Oswego City Court on August 5, at 1:30 p.m.
The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, United States Border Patrol, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
