While they learned about Australian culture and music, Mexico Elementary School students also received character trait education during the recent “Didgeridoo Down Under” performance. The students in grades kindergarten through four filed into the cafeteria to find several life lessons and surprises in the interactive show.
The crowd packed the Ralph Fraust Theatre of the Performing Arts at Oswego High School to hear Christmas classics and joyous tunes from several chorus, band and orchestra performances.

Butterscotch’s foster family has caught him several times underneath the Christmas tree, dreaming of his forever home. We need someone to make that dream come true. Town of Granby Supervisor Edward Williamson had reached out to Senator Ritchie about the need to replace one of its plows, fearing it could die out, leaving the town shorthanded for the winter. Senator Ritchie immediately went to work and was able to get the $100,000 grant to help the Granby purchase this new one.
The Oswego County Legislature honored Legislator Jacob Mulcahey during its monthly meeting in December. Legislature Chairman Kevin Gardner presented a plaque to Mulcahey and thanked him for his tenacity, positive attitude and dedication to his constituents over the last eight years.
Oswego Harbor Festivals, Inc., is currently accepting vendor applications for its upcoming festival, scheduled for July 26 – 29. The annual Oswego Harborfest is one of the largest free music festivals in upstate New York.
