Students in the Stepping Stones Day Program at the Fourth Street School in Fulton got an early start trick-or-treating. The younger students of the program went door-to-door inside the Fulton Education Center seeking sweet treats from staff members and Fulton City School District administrators.
On Friday, November 17, at 6:30 p.m., participants will use special paints to turn a sheet of glass into “stained glass” instead of using the traditional method of lead and cut glass.
Mexico High School’s Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) club celebrated National Red Ribbon Week by offering prevention advice on a variety of topics to their peers. Throughout the week, SADD club members focused on awareness of distracted driving, drugs, bullying, alcohol and suicide.
The Oswego High School Drama Club has announced the upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim’s iconic musical “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” The macabre and murderous Sweeney Todd, a Londontown barber with a penchant for pastry, has been frightening and delighting audiences for decades in this rollicking tale of revenge.
CNY Arts Center is excited to announce the Syracuse Area Live Theatre (SALT) Awards Academy has nominated CNY Arts Center for recognition in seven categories for the recent theatre season. The organization was founded in February 2016. Its mission is to create, enhance and connect walking trails around the city of Fulton, improving access to natural resources of the Oswego river and Lake Neatahwanta.
A recipient from each classroom was presented with a Principal’s Award for having shown responsible behavior in the classroom, hallways, special areas and the cafeteria.
Canale’s Restaurant will be providing the next Salvation Army Guest Chef dinner on November 14, 4:30 to 6 p.m. The dinner will be at the Salvation Army Worship and Service Center, 73 W. Second St. Planning is under way for this year’s Red Kettle Campaign. The need is to raise more than $100,000.
