Qualifications for Dean’s list include enrolling as a full-time matriculated student with a minimum of 12 undergraduate credits, completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4 or above, and with no grades lower than “C”.
Finella, Campanino, of Phoenix, recently returned from a month-long study abroad trip in the Bahamas, where she learned about fishery management issues. Campanino is one of six students enrolled in Biology 296, a Directed Research course called CCRABSS: Creating Collaboration in Research Among Bahamian and SUNY Oneonta Students.
The recipient for 2017 is Jennifer McGrew. She is currently an employee of NOCHSI. She is working on her bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Twenty years ago, she won the Kathy Ellis Scholarship and studied at St Joseph’s School of Nursing.
Lego Robotics, Star Wars Animation and Minecraft Modders are just a few of the workshops students ages 7 to 14 can participate in during SUNY Oswego’s summer 2017 week-long Engaging Creative Minds programs in July and August.
The festival will hold a space in the Novelis Family Park, where visitors would be able to decorate rocks with inspirational messages, which would then be scattered across Oswego and beyond, hopefully for someone to find … and pay it forward.
Continental Arms Collectors Association’s Revolutionary War Unit participated in the annual Fair Haven Independence Parade on June 30. Interpreting a company from the 1st New York Regiment, Continental Army in 1782, the group fired volleys through the streets of the village.

The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on July 23, serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will be hot dogs and hamburgers, macaroni salad, chips, and dessert. Donations are not expected, but will be accepted.
