Oswego Book Signing Takes Shape

Former Oswego Mayor John Sullivan will return to his roots on June 8 for a book signing/reception at the River’s End bookstore, 19 W. Bridge St., in Oswego. He will read a few excerpts from his new book, a memoir/autobiography called “Pee Not Your Pants-Memoirs of a small town Mayor with big time ideas” and will answer questions as well.

Fort Ontario Hosts Elks’ Flag Retirement Ceremony on June 10

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Oswego Lodge #271, presents a free U.S. flag retirement ceremony outside the entrance of old Fort Ontario at 10 a.m. on June 10. The public is cordially invited to turn in their worn-out flags for proper retirement by members of the Oswego Elks before the program.
