After mid-winter break in February, about 20 students joined teacher KC Jones in a back corner of CiTi’s 85-acre lot behind the main building where they learned how to tap maple trees.
Susan Pope, disaster services coordinator for the Central New York Chapter of the American Red Cross, told the Fulton Rotary Club about the chapter’s services for residents of five counties.
Spring is almost here and that means plans are being made for the Springboard Mural Project along West Linear Park in Oswego. “Starting our ninth year of artwork, the mural project is actively seeking interested youth artists who would like to create a piece of artwork and paint it in a public space in the city of Oswego,” said Kristen Slimmer, youth activities coordinator for the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau.
Olivia Cacchione of Sterling was one of fourteen students recently recognized by the Pi of New York chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at Elmira College as outstanding members of the Class of 2018 and 2019.

Price Chopper Supermarkets will be closing the pharmacy in its Oswego store, 137 State Route 104, effective at 8 p.m. on March 22. Patient prescriptions have been transferred to the nearby Rite Aid pharmacy.
