Representatives of several Oswego County human services agencies will host an Oswego County Youth Program Forum on Oct. 24 at Elim Grace Church, 340 W. First St. Sign-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with the program starting promptly at 9 a.m.

Funding delivered by Senator Ritchie will help with the cost of a speaker who will visit the district during Red Ribbon Week, a national program happening during the week of October 23rd that aims to enhance drug prevention efforts.

Central Square Middle School reading teacher Jennifer Poindexter didn’t have to go too far to find an administrative internship. Just down the hallway from her classroom is a small office she calls her own.

Students explored their classrooms where they met their teacher, made new friends, learned about school expectations and then accompanied their family members to the cafeteria where everyone enjoyed an ice cream social.

Just a few days into the academic unit, the fourth graders have worked with native symbols to create stories, studied agricultural facts and learned about the native nations that make up the Iroquois League, also known as the Six Nations.

This is a reminder that the city of Fulton has announced the examination for Police Officer which will be held on November 19. The last filing date for the exam is October 14.

Accompanied by relatives, students entered their classrooms where they became acquainted with their new space and met their teachers in preparation of their half-days of Pre-k education.
