Fun games, prizes, entertainment, ice cream sundaes and free tours of the Richardson-Bates House Museum will all take place on Aug. 28 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Family Fun Day. The first date was postponed due to inclement weather.

The scholarships are $6,000 over four years. For non-New York state students, the total award can increase to as much as $42,000 in combination with a Destination Oswego scholarship.

The Peoples’ Produce Project is a volunteer project that was launched last year by Oswego County Department of Social Services staff members. Building on a successful first season, the initiative continues to help local residents supplement their pantries with fresh local produce.
The Oswego County Health Department will hold its next rabies clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 7, at the Oswego County Highway Garage, 24 Dill Pickle Alley, Parish. Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang said the rabies virus is widespread across Oswego County this summer, and people should make sure their pets are properly vaccinated against rabies.
