Brass Exchange will perform a free concert at the gazebo on South First Street in downtown Fulton. They will play on August 19 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. This is part of the City of Fulton Summer Concert series.
The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District has scheduled a Coffee and Conversation evening on the proposed Capital Project, which will be held at the Maple View Restaurant on August 29 at 6 p.m.
Nurses from the St. Luke Health Services Adult Day Health Care Program will offer free blood pressure and blood glucose screenings during the Oswego Farmers’ Market on Thursday, August 18, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The screenings will be offered at the St. Luke bus, near the Civic Plaza.
AmeriCorps member Kamie Brown is working along side of the Fulton CYO summer program at Catholic Charities of Oswego County. It is a free program for children in Oswego County from second grade through eighth grade. Along with the free program, a free breakfast and lunch are provided through a collaboration with OCO. AmeriCorps provides activities to help promote a healthy life style through fitness and nutrition.
Did you know that August 17 is Black Cat Appreciation Day? In celebration of that important event, the Oswego County Humane Society is WAIVING adoption fees for any black cats (and any cats with any black or gray on them) that are adopted from Saturday August 13 to Saturday August 20. Like Marshall, for instance!
The Award of Excellence in the home pages and individual web pages category recognized the oswego.edu home page gaining a new look earlier this year during the web team’s redevelopment project. It gave the site a refreshed appearance and a new Drupal content management system behind the scenes.
The National Society of High School Scholars announced student McKenna Moonan from Pulaski, has been selected to become a member of the esteemed organization. The society recognizes top scholars who’ve demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship, and community commitment.
August 20 will the be the annual car show at North Volney Methodist Church. The show will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with registration starting at 10:30 a.m. Registration fee is $8 per car and all makes and years are welcome.
This new eGovernance initiative will enable the organization to maximize the effectiveness of their board meetings with increased transparency, providing a basis for better and more open communication with the public, while dramatically increasing productivity.
