Getting to Know the Building of Paul V. Moore High School

On September 2, Paul V. Moore High School will open its doors to students and families of the incoming freshmen class from 4:30 until 6 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to get their schedules, walk the hallways, find their classrooms and get to know where important places in the building are, such as the cafeteria, gymnasium, auditorium, etc.

27th Ballou, McCaw Families Reunion Set Sept. 3 in Redfield

The 27th annual reunion of the descendants of Archibald and Jane (MacCaughan) McCaw along with the descendants of Darius and Huludia (Tilton) Ballou will be held September 3, from noon on at the town square in Redfield. Food, beverages and entertainment will be offered by the Redfield Volunteer Fire Department which hosts its annual Old Home Days concurrently.

Ritchie Tours Farms, Hears Suggestions For Helping Farmers Rebound From Hot, Dry Summer

The tour, which included members of the Senator’s Agriculture Advisory Council, a group made up of farmers and agribusiness owners in Jefferson, Oswego and St. Lawrence counties, as well as local lawmakers, featured stops at North Branch Farms in Belleville, where irrigation methods are being used to mitigate the effects of drought and North Harbor Dairy, where the dry weather has severely damaged crops.

Artist Jacqueline Adamo To Share Work in ‘Found Objects’ Exhibition

Syracuse artist Jacqueline Adamo will open an exhibition titled “Found Objects: New Works and Reinventions” at a free public reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 9, at Oswego State Downtown. Part of SUNY Oswego’s Downtown Artists Series, the exhibition will run through Oct. 28 at the branch of Tyler Art Gallery and the College Store at West First and Bridge streets.
