Local Students Graduate from Le Moyne College
The following students graduated from Le Moyne College on Sunday, May 22, on the College’s campus. Approximately 635 members of the class of 2016 participated in the 66th commencement ceremony.

In an effort to help make communities across Central New York safer, State Senator Patty Ritchie announced she has secured $25,000 in special funding to help support local volunteer fire departments.
The camp introduced the youngsters to acting and various theater crafts ending with a performance for family and friends. Monthly classes will resume in September.
The following students have made the Dean’s List for the 2016 spring semester at Le Moyne College in Syracuse. To make the list, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or above.
We first told you about Indy back in January. This little mare, 15.2 hands, born in 1999, had little to no training for 12 years and basically had to start again from the beginning with groundwork before any saddle time. We are proud to report that she has come a long way in six months and is now ridden by an advanced beginner (a teenager) and groomed by kids.
The CNY Arts Center will celebrate Oswego County’s bicentennial through the artist’s eyes with a Plein Air Paint Out Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 12 through 14. Artists are invited to paint local attractions such as historic buildings, scenic landscapes and local businesses. The event is part of the Festival of the Arts taking place across Fulton that weekend.
Garrett D.T. Dunsmoor of Oswego has been selected for inclusion on the Dean’s List for academic achievement during the Spring 2016 semester at St. Lawrence University.

Nancy Kush Ellis, of the Fulton Rotary Club, welcomed Oswego County Office for the Aging Administrator Sara Sunday at a recent meeting.
Community and Customer Manager for National Grid Walter Dengos presented Executive Director of United Way of Greater Oswego County Patrick Dewine with a check in the amount of $5,000 representing National Grid’s corporate support of United Way’s Annual Campaign.
