Nancy Ellis welcomed Jan Rebeor of the Fulton Community Development Agency at a recent meeting to learn about the Fulton Area Home Show. The event is set for April 2 at the Fulton War Memorial. Jim Sollecito will be present to answer questions on landscaping from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The NYS Sheriffs’ Association Institute will begin its annual Honorary Membership drive in Oswego County within the next few days according to Sheriff Reuel Todd. The institute was established in 1979. It is a not-for-profit corporation, tax exempt organization, and contributions to the Institute are tax deductible.
The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.
With a light winter and early spring, yard work has been easier and ahead of schedule at our Richland facility. We had two work days, March 19 and 20, with four more scheduled and with many hands made light work of the front lawn, the SW classroom and other areas of the building. We are trying to get things in good order and neat before a wedding we will host on April 23 for the son of our Florence trustee Doreen Tilton.

Theresa Robinson, constituent services representative from Congressman John Katko’s office, presented Oswego County Opportunities Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier with a flag that had previously flown above the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. Katko sent the flag in recognition of OCO’s 50th Anniversary.
G. Ray Bodley High School honors humanities students are making history. Freshmen Andrew and Aaron Dedich advanced to the state level National History Day competition after winning second place in the regional National History Day competition earlier this month at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse.
The SUNY Oswego Jazz Ensemble and Latin Jazz Ensemble will host SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music Latin Ensemble in a free concert April 1. All three ensembles will perform. Eric Schmitz of the music faculty leads the SUNY Oswego ensembles, while SUNY Potsdam’s Marsha Baxter and Peter McCoy lead the 26 players of the Crane School.
