Kaysey L. Grard’s exposure to law enforcement agencies and legal officials as a New Vision Law and Government student in 2007 and 2008 prepared her for a successful career as a liaison for New York City Emergency Management in Brooklyn.
Lion Paul Forestiere, executive director/CEO of Cornell Cooperative Extension-Oswego County, made a presentation on the organization at the Jan. 21 meeting of the Fulton Lions Club. Forestiere spoke about the origin, mission, and programs offered by cooperative extension.
The Coalition to Combat Adolescent Substance Abuse in Oswego County will have its next monthly meeting on January 29 from 9 – 11 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Prevention Office at Farnham Family Service, 283 W. Second St. All community members are welcome to attend.

Last week, you talked again about shelters for dogs left outdoors and I have no problem with that for most dogs. But my dog, Bubba, is a Siberian Husky and even if he had a dog house he wouldn’t go in it. Seriously. That breed came from Siberia! He likes being outside in the coldest weather we get.
