Buffalo State is a State University of New York (SUNY) college located in Buffalo, New York. Buffalo State offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the arts, education, natural sciences, social sciences, and professional studies.

The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund is a union of gifts contributed by the people of the Pulaski community that makes grants to support programs and projects of importance to the area.

Executive Director of United Way of Greater Oswego County Patrick Dewine, accepted a $5,000 check from Walter Dengos, community and customer manager for National Grid, representing the company’s corporate support of United Way’s annual campaign.

Oswego County is working with neighboring counties in a new initiative, Solarize CNY. The program is made possible with a grant through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) in an effort to reduce start-up costs of solar power in Central New York.

At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Abby Wiertzema, youth exchange coordinator, introduced two G. Ray Bodley High School sophomores who will be our exchange students in the coming year.

The free disposal events are part of a continuing effort by Senator Ritchie and local community leaders to not only clean up our region, but also to stop the spread of mosquito borne diseases like EEE and West Nile. It’s estimated that one single waste tire can act as breeding ground for one million mosquitoes.
