The first Oswego Harborfest event of the year will be the annual Children’s Gala, sponsored by SUNY Oswego Office of Business and Community Relations, in Breitbeck Park on July 21, at 6 – 7:30 p.m.
The competition is a last call for submissions to solicit transformational project ideas and identify businesses poised for growth that would stimulate private investment, create well-paying jobs and sustain economic progress in the region.
Local residents are continuing to receive direct mail solicitations from companies offering to provide deed reports and other information for $83, when the information is readily available through Oswego County government offices, County Clerk Michael Backus said.

Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) Call-N-Ride bus service is making it easier than ever for the elderly and persons with special needs to travel within Oswego County. OCO’s Call-N-Ride bus service is now available free of charge to those ages 60 and over.

Lakeside Artisans, 191 W. First St., will host a variety of creative visual artists to demonstrate their materials, techniques, and processes from 5-7 p.m. on Thursdays during the farmers’ market.

The show is based on the 1956 novel by Dodie Smith, which tells the tale of a pair of Dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita, who have just produced a litter of 15 puppies. Then the monstrous Cruella DeVille plots to steal the puppies to make a spotted, dog skin coat.
After a sensational reception at the Fourth of July Parade, Downbeat Percussion returns to Oswego for an afternoon performance on July 25 at Harborfest. The “Official Drum Line of the Buffalo Bills”will be at the NRG Lakeview Stage in Breitbeck Park beginning at 2:30 p.m.
