Lifejacket Sizing, Education Session Set July 16
Members from the Oswego Police and Fire departments along with the Oswego Flotilla US Coast Guard Auxiliary and NY Maritime Services will provide a lifejacket sizing and education session to promote the “Wear-It NY” boating and water safety program.

Oswego County Reminds Residents to Guard against Mosquito Bites
“Our surveillance team is in high gear, monitoring mosquito activity in the area,” said Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang. “These viral infections can cause serious illness such as severe headache, high fever, disorientation, seizures, brain swelling or, in some cases, death.” Huang explained that the best defense people have from EEE or West Nile is to use personal protection measures to guard against mosquito bites.

The Oswego County ATV Club continues to celebrate patriotism with a ride for wounded domestic and foreign war veterans. Line-up for the ride begins at 9 a.m. on July 18 at the Tailwater Lodge on Pulaski Street in Altmar.

Masons Plan Pancake Breakfast
On July 19, a pancake breakfast will be held at Lake City Lodge 127 at 765 E. Seneca St., from 8 a.m. until noon. The menu includes pancake, french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, coffee, tea, milk and orange juice.
