United Way Funding Building a Healthier Oswego County

One of the benchmarks for a strong community is the overall health of its residents. United Way of Greater Oswego County helps to fund 16 human services programs that focus specifically on improving the health and well-being of Oswego County residents. Two of which that are vital to that mission are the Legal Aid Society and the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County.

CiTi Public Safety and Justice students earn accolades

Seniors enrolled in the Public Safety and Justice program at the Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation were recently saluted for their efforts during a year-end recognition ceremony. Throughout the school year, teachers Jim Garcia, Charles Gabriel and Mark Bender taught the students law enforcement, firefighting and EMS skills as part of hands-on learning.

Young Cyclists Roll Through Palermo To Assist With Affordable Housing Efforts

Thirty young adults with Bike & Build Inc., a national non-profit committed to affordable housing, are bicycling into Palermo on their journey across the United States. The cyclists, as part of the Northern US route, are traveling from Portsmouth, NH to Vancouver, BC to raise money and awareness for affordable housing causes.
