To better reflect the various Early Education programs for children, the former Discovery Day Care now has a new name, Discovery Learning Center and a new logo that reflects what Discovery Learning Center is all about. Since its inception in 1995, Discovery has always been much more than a day care center. It includes Head Start and UPK classrooms along with full day child care classes.

Dr. Casey McCaffrey, D.C., recently presented Katie Button with a check to support the March of Dimes at the March For Babies, which was held May 2. The proceeds were the result of Chiropractic Appreciation Day on April 25.
The Oswego Lions Club with host the fourth annual River’s Edge “handmade” Craft Show on June 7. The event will take place at our new venue, Breitbeck Park, on the west side of Oswego. Our new venue is bigger, better, and even more beautiful, where the beautiful Oswego River and Lake Ontario meet.
The SUNY Oswego Alumni Association honored a public relations major from Buffalo with the 2015 Outstanding Senior Award at the Commencement Eve Dinner on May 16. Bridget Jackson of the class of 2015 was selected based on her academic achievements, campus involvement and service to her community.

Fairgrieve Elementary School recently hosted its second annual College and Career Day, providing fifth and sixth grade students with the opportunity to discuss their futures with professionals from a wide variety of fields. Speakers from 13 different career fields held presentations to describe a day in the life of their profession, and answer any questions students may have had regarding their career.
Kayleigh Moyer of Pennellville qualified for the Spring 2105 Dean’s List at Belmont University. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
