Hoops for Heart promotes physical activity and heart healthy living, as well as raises funds to help combat heart disease and stroke treatment and prevention.
Sandy Creek students were recently empowered by award-winning actor, writer and solo performer Tim Collins during an anti-bullying theatrical performance. Collins’ one-man show “Standing By, Standing Up” was about the struggles students face as instigators, bystanders and victims of various types of bullying.
Dozens of soon-to-be freshmen and their parents gathered in the high school auditorium during Transition Night, where teachers, administrators and staff members were on hand to answer questions.
