Hannibal Students Have Hearts Of Gold

In partnership with the American Heart Association, the DMK physical education department recently worked to raise awareness of cardiac issues while simultaneously raising funds for the organization. The initiative, dubbed Hoops for Heart, promotes physical activity, heart-healthy dietary and lifestyle choices and community service.

Spot To Highlight Pedestrian Safety Laws

Spot the Pedestrian Safety Dog will be on hand during the lunch hour rush in downtown Oswego April 6 – 10 to remind motorists to observe pedestrian safety laws and no right on red signs and walkers to cross properly at the crosswalks. Chief Tory DeCare and Oswego police officers, as well as Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, Oswego City Firefighters, ARISE and Traffic Safety Board will be helping with the initiative.

Bodley’s Got Talent Supports Charities

Students, faculty and community members attended the 2015 Bodley’s Got Talent at G. Ray Bodley High School recently. The event is only possibly through the efforts of the HOPE Club (Helping Other People Everywhere) at the school. According to club adviser Catherine Cronk, more than $1,500 was raised this year for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Volunteers for Peace.
