John M. Henry, president of Mitchell’s Speedway Press, Oswego, recently returned from attending the executive board meeting of the National Print Owners Association while directing its spring conference in Orlando. Henry is the board member in charge of putting on the annual event, which drew printing company owners from across North America and from several foreign countries.

Oswego High School artists captured three of the top four prizes recently at the 20th Annual Oswego County Student Art Competition at the Salmon River Fine Arts Center in Pulaski. According to Oswego High School art teacher Melissa Martin, this may have been the best showing the school’s artists have ever had in the history of the competition.

Oswego County Workforce New York recently held its first Training and Careers Expo for area high school students at the CiTi campus in Mexico. Juniors and seniors from the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown, Phoenix, and Pulaski school districts participated in the half-day program along with students from the CiTi school.
After hearing the story of Apollo, a four-year-old lab who was found in New Haven freezing and starving this January, Sandy Creek students were ignited to collect items to donate to Paws Across Oswego County.
On a bright spring afternoon, volunteers of all ages gathered for a celebration in their honor at St. Luke Health Services. The theme of this year’s event was “More Than Words Can Say, You Are Appreciated in Every Way.”
