Assemblyman Will Barclay encourages Central and Northern New York college students to participate in the New York Business Plan Competition. The Central New York deadline to apply is March 6. The Northern New York deadline is March 29. Students can submit their business plan with the chance to win a $100,000 grand prize.

Recognizing Oswego County focuses on the positive efforts that are being made in the community. Each month ROC uses this recognition effort as a platform for emphasizing the wonderful work that is happening in Oswego County to promote the health and wellness of children, families and adults.

Exhibition To Feature Works Of Students New To College’s Art Programs
An exhibition titled “Transitions” from March 13 to April 11 at Oswego State Downtown will showcase artwork created by students who have recently transferred into SUNY Oswego’s art disciplines. A free public reception for the artists will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. March 27, at the branch of the College Store and Tyler Art Gallery at West First and Bridge streets in Oswego.

300+ Registered For March 14 ‘Run For Dennis’ 5K Run/Walk
More than 300 people have registered for the fourth annual Run For Dennis 5k Run/Walk, said Jessica Newson, race director. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. March 14 to honor the memory of Oswego resident Dennis Pacheco (5/28/59-3/17/11), a victim of bladder cancer.
