Come learn and share, with entrepreneurs ranging from new to experienced, at the next Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training’s monthly breakfast meeting, February 5 at 8 a.m. at Operation Oswego County, 44 W. Bridge St.

Several area students completed their graduate studies last fall at SUNY Oswego and were recognized in December at the college’s Commencement.

The Cayuga Community College Alumni Association is offering a three-day, two-night bus excursion to Washington, D.C. from April 24 to 26. Travelers will tour the National Air Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center on route to the Cambria Suites Hotel, located at the New City Market at O lifestyle center.

Congressman Katko will serve on the subcommittees on Highways & Transit, Railroads, Pipelines & Hazardous Materials, and Water Resources & Environment.

The Fulton City School District welcomed 28 new inductees to the Joseph Campolieta Chapter of the National Honor Society recently.

Fulton is unique in that the NHS student officers direct their induction ceremony. Principal Donna Parkhurst said, “It’s wonderful to attend an event and be a guest while our young students run the show.”

John C. Birdlebough High School senior Dustin Blumer was recognized during a recent awards ceremony for excelling in the classroom and on the gridiron during the fall sports season.

Several local students completed their baccalaureate studies at SUNY Oswego in December.

The Zonta Club of Oswego will host a celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8 from 3-5 p.m. and is looking for presentations and displays consistent with the IWD theme. IWD is a global celebration of women’s achievements throughout history and across nations.

There are still spots available for those who hold the Technician License and would like to upgrade to General, this class will get you there. This 10-week class will be held at the County Building in Fulton (across from Mimi’s) starting February 2.
