The Michaud Resident Council in now in the midst of a “Go Red” pin sale. Council members Roxanne Stuart and Barb Lyons have been selling the pins to help raise awareness about heart disease and strokes in women, with proceeds going to the American Heart Association.
The Sandy Creek Varsity Cheerleading team was named Frontier League Class C Division Champions and received the highest score of all teams during the recent competition. Team members selected as All Stars were Lexi Goodnough, Sammi Pandolfi and Tara Huggins.

Assemblyman Will Barclay announced Jan. 27 that there is still time for volunteer firefighters to receive tuition reimbursement through the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York. FASNY has developed the Higher Education Learning Plan (FASNY HELP) as an incentive for people to join New York’s volunteer fire service. This program will provide tuition reimbursement to student volunteers. The deadline to apply for the spring semester is Feb. 6.
