Bishop’s Commons Food Service Team Will Help Warm Up Oswego This Weekend

The Food Service team from Bishop’s Commons at St. Luke, led by director Stacia Steinbach, will be adding a little spice to the Warm Up Oswego Festival this weekend when they enter their favorite recipe in the Chili Cook-Off competition taking place on Saturday. The Chili Cook-Off will be held from 1 – 3 p.m. at King Arthur’s Suites.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Oswego County, a division of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, is recruiting volunteers, age 55 and older, to serve through nonprofit agencies and organizations that meet critical needs, improve lives and help strengthen the Oswego County community. RSVP does this through collaboration with service providers and by focusing on priority areas established by the Corporation for National and Community Service, its federal sponsor.

OCO Nutrition Services Partners with Subaru To ‘Share the Love’

Oswego County Opportunities’ Nutrition Services partnered with National Meals on Wheels and Subaru to “Share the Love” this past holiday season to help feed seniors through its home delivered meals program and at its Dining and Activities Centers. According to OCO Nutrition Services Coordinator Bridget Dolbear the Subaru “Share the Love” event proved to be an excellent way to increase awareness of OCO’ Nutrition Services.
