Quirk’s Players of G. Ray Bodley High School will be holding a special fundraiser this Saturday, February 7, at Pizzeria Uno – Chicago Grill located at 3974 State Route 31 in Liverpool (near Great Northern Mall and the Wegman’s Plaza). Proceeds from the fundraiser will help make this year’s annual school musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie, possible.

To be included on the Deans’ List, students must have a semester grade average of 3.30 to 3.79. The President’s and Deans’ lists represent the top 31 percent of the Oswego student body.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety Committee presented Deputy Todd Masuicca with a certificate of appreciation for his 10 years of service.

Residents at Morningstar Residential Care Center were treated to a chocolate cake social in celebration of National Chocolate Cake Day. Residents gathered in Morningstar’s new Great Room.

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Linda Egan introduced Diane Oldenburg, senior health educator for Oswego County. Diane presented an interesting slide program about the County’s Health Improvement Projects, starting with assessment, formulating goals and then beginning programs to inform and educate the public.

Every eight years it is required by law to review Agricultural Districts in New York State. Ag Districts were created by an act of the Legislature in 1971 to protect and promote the availability of land for farming purposes; they are intended to counteract the impact that non-farm development has upon the continuation of farm businesses by providing a framework limiting unreasonable local regulation on farm practices.

The Oswego City School District Board of Education recognized the retirements of Susan Piasecki and Kim Bryant at its January 26 meeting.
