Christmas Eve Worship will be held on December 24 at 7 p.m. at the First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St. This traditional service of ‘Lessons, Carols and Candlelight’ will include the Christmas story from Scripture, the singing of lovely carols and candlelight shared in a large circle at the close of the service.
Any residents of Oswego that would like to make their food dollars go farther may place their orders for January Food $en$e packages until 3 p.m. on January 9. The January package contains meatballs, Italian sausage, pollock fillets, breaded veal patties, pepperoni pizza, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, frozen vegetables, diced tomatoes, Mandarin oranges and fresh produce.
For 25 years, the Minetto United Methodist Church has been hosting a barn service on Christmas Eve and this year the tradition will continue at the Greco Family Farm (formerly Wadsworth’s) at 297 W. Fifth St. Road. Rev. Rick Sivers, former pastor of the Minetto church, has returned to Oswego and will be leading the service this year with a few added surprises.
A donation from a local business owner helped bring extra holiday cheer into the art room at Sandy Creek Elementary School recently, as students were able to create ornaments. The ornaments were donated by Don Allen, owner of Stone Cold Creations and given to pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students in art class.
Hannibal High School and Kenney Middle School concerts provided an enjoyable taste of the holiday season when they performed in separate concerts at the school in early December.

“Houston, we have a problem.” It is with those words that the Oswego County Academic Youth League began its second competition of the season titled: Lunacy. The event featured challenges to test knowledge about the moon – scientific as well as the moon’s role in literature, history, and culture.
Three Sandy Creek High School students were selected for participation in the All-State concerts held at the Eastman Theatre in Rochester during the annual Winter Conference of the New York State School Music Association in early December.
