Daniel Harmony Named Red Cross Disaster Volunteer Partner

Kenneth J. Turner, Regional Disaster Program Officer for the American Red Cross Western and Central New York Region, is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel J. Harmony as his Volunteer Partner. Harmony, who will be based in Syracuse, will work with Turner to support the volunteer Disaster Workforce across the 26-county Region.

Kids Can Help Decorate Maritime Museum’s Holiday Tree

The H. Lee White Maritime Museum at Oswego, on Oswego’s West First Street Pier, is offering kids an opportunity to get in the spirit for the holidays by attending a gingerbread ornament workshop this Sunday from 2 – 3 p.m. Children will be provided with their choice of two real gingerbread cookie ornaments to decorate. One for the museum’s main holiday tree and one to take home!

The 2015 Make-A-Wish Central New York calendar is now available for purchase. Every year, Make-A-Wish Central New York creates calendars that are sold to the public and utilized to generate awareness. The goal of this year’s calendar is to address the misconception that Make-A-Wish only serves terminally ill children.
