The Fulton Noon Rotary Club members recently visited the Michaud Nursing Home. The Rotarians learned about the changes in Medicare and Medicaid and how they effect long- and short-term patients in extended personal care facilities in our state.

The Oswego County Health Department is offering influenza immunization clinics for people age 19 and older weekdays at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic, 70 Bunner St., Oswego.

The Parish Historical Society will meet at noon Nov. 8, at the Half-Shire Historical Society Museum, County Route 48, Richland. The Half-Shire chefs will serve their famous chicken and stuffing dinner and president Shawn Doyle will present an update on recent developments.

Several area students completed their graduate studies in August at SUNY Oswego and were recognized with master’s degrees or graduate certificates.

The effort will provide the college’s technology students hands-on, commercial experience and provide advanced services to companies in such areas as computer-assisted design, 3D printing and prototyping, materials processing, computer numeric control milling.

At the 2014 ReLeaf Conference in July at Hofstra University, CCE Nassau County Horticulture Educator Vinnie Drzewucki gave an engaging talk on “Breaking the Fear of Trees: How to Help the Public Overcome their Dendrophobia.” He graciously shares the highlights of his talk

CNY Arts Center is calling artists for its first juried art show November 15 and 16 at Arts in the HeArt Gallery. The event will award cash prizes for first, second and third place in each of five categories and an additional cash prize for Best in Show as chosen by popular vote from the public.

Several local residents completed their baccalaureate studies at SUNY Oswego in August.

The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a four-part Introduction to Computers workshop on November 5, 12, 19 and 26. Each class is free and runs from 2 to 4 p.m.
