As part of funding through the Strengthening Teacher and Leader Effectiveness Grant, the district held a Family Academy session, which gave parents the opportunity to learn how to help their child with writing and math, while students were able to enjoying games, crafts and refreshments.

On October 24, starting at 7 p.m., a Halloween costume party for children will be hosted by First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St. This is an annual old-fashioned party that includes group games, a costume parade with prizes, and great refreshments.
On October 25 from 1-3 p.m. there will be a Harvest Celebration and Pumpkin Carving Party at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 814 Rider St. Parish. There will be free pumpkins, carving tools provided.

The Pulaski Historical Society will present the program “Genealogy Records Through the DAR” at its meeting on October 22 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Carriage House and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Leadership was in focus during a recent Hannibal Central School District Board of Education meeting, as Dennis M. Kenney student leaders thanked school board representatives for their service and commitment to the district. In celebration of Board of Education Appreciation Month, members of the newly established Kenney Leadership Team presented board members with handmade paperweights.
New York Sea Grant Extension and the Cornell University Cooperative Extension Invasive Species Program have published a New York State Watercraft Inspection Steward Program Handbook. The 81-page, illustrated guide is the standardized model for starting new watercraft inspection programs and includes a Watercraft Inspection Steward Training and Field Guide section.
