CNY Arts Center announce its first juried art show this fall at Arts in the HeArt Gallery, 47 S. First St., with a call for artist entries. The event begins November 14 when entries are dropped off between 4 and 6 p.m. with judging taking place at 7 p.m. The show will be open to the public November 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and November 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Hundreds of SUNY Oswego student-athletes are ready to rake leaves in the city of Oswego on Nov. 9, but they want to hear from senior citizens interested in this free help. In its 10th year at SUNY Oswego, the project is part of an annual statewide community-service project by Student-Athlete Advisory Council chapters at all 11 SUNY Athletic Conference colleges.
The Oswego County Health Department will offer influenza immunization clinics for people age 19 and older starting Monday, Oct. 6, at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic, 70 Bunner St., Oswego. Adult influenza clinics will be held weekdays from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. at the Nick Sterio Clinic.
Robert J. Hannon, an Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps cadet at State University of New York at Brockport, has graduated from the Leader Development and Assessment Course at Fort Knox, Ky. Hannon is the son of John Hannon and Lucia Booth-Hannon of Pennellville.
