The Oswego Hospital Laboratory has added a location in the village of Hannibal. The new lab and collection site opened on September 3 in suite 200 of the Hannibal Medical Building, located at 450 Fulton St. The lab draw and collection site is open from 7 a.m. to noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Members of the planning committee for the eighth annual Diane Falise Memorial Scrabble Fest display a beautiful hand made quilt that will be available as part of the drawing prizes to be held during the event. Taking place September 19 at the Oswego Elks Lodge, Scrabble Fest, serves as a fundraiser for Literacy Volunteers.
The Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County will be turning up the heat this fall with its inaugural Fiesta Masquerade. Scheduled for October 10, the CAC Fiesta Masquerade promises to be an entertaining evening of food, fun and dancing for a great cause.
ARC of Oswego County will host a free family concert on Friday at 6 p.m. at the West Linear Park. ARC of Oswego County will provide live entertainment by featuring the musical group, Flame, a group of talented musicians from upstate New York who happen to have disabilities.
North Volney Methodist church will host a public supper of scalloped potato and ham on Sept 18.
Serving will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and take-outs are available.
The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee presented John Babcock with a certificate of appreciation for his 25 years of service.
On September 20, the Volney History Center will host a teaching seminar on headstone rubbings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Volney Town Hall on Route 6, Volney Center. Carrie Butler and daughters, JoAnn and Peg, will give a presentation on how to read headstone illegible wordings.
Rotarian Bridgette Seguin introduced Bob Wallace, CEO of Eastern Shore Associates. Bob has been involved in the insurance business for many years. Bob is one of the founders of Eastern Shore Associates and is the only original partner still actively working with the company.
The Pulaski Historical Society will host the Pulaski Academy and Central School History Club at its September 24 meeting at 7 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public. The History Club will present the program “The PACS History Club: Past, Present and Future.”
