First celebrated in June 1910, at the Spokane YMCA in Washington, Father’s Day is now a national celebrated holiday. In keeping with tradition the Fulton Family YMCA is hosting a Father’s Day BBQ on June 6 from 6 – 8 p.m.
The city of Oswego will host its first free bike safety event co-sponsored by the Oswego City Police Department and Oswego City Fire Department on June 6. It will take place at the East Side Fire Station from 5 to 8 p.m., rain or shine.

The Oswego Rotary Club recently honored five graduating seniors of the Oswego City School District and their parents at lunch with scholarships and an Occupational Education Award. Club President Susan Witmer presented framed certificates to the $1,000 scholarship recipients and a check to the award recipient.
