Two AmeriCorps members are doing a community project together at Catholic Charities in Fulton. For the project they are having a “community baby shower.” The event is being held from 3 to 6 p.m. today (May 20) at Catholic Charities, 365 W. First St.
Girls in grades 9 through 12 can get a jump on their futures by networking with some top women executives at the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways second Camp CEO. Girls will be paired up with a women executive and join them in traditional camp activities while participating in mentoring programs and workshops.
The Oswego County Office for the Aging will host an Energy Efficiency Improvement Seminar for seniors on Friday, May 30 from10 a.m. to 12 noon. The seminar will be held at the Oswego County Health Department Building located at 70 Bunner St., Oswego.

The Hawks R/C Junior Aviators are beginning their 13th summer flying season this year teaching kids and young adults how to fly Radio Control model aircraft. We’re looking for several additional youngsters like you who have an interest in things that fly. The Hawk’s program is provided free of charge to local youth in the greater Oswego County area.

The Fulton Service Clubs (Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions and Rotary Sunrise) and the Fulton Veterans’ Council have completed the planning for the 33rd Annual Memorial Day Salute. The parade committee has been working for several months putting together the area’s largest parade. The parade date is Saturday and it will start at 10 a.m.
Under the guidance of an outside facilitator, more than two dozen community members, students, teachers, administrators and stakeholders have been meeting regularly to formulate a five-year plan for the district. Their ideas began as discussions and have translated into written beliefs, vision statements and guidelines that committee and subcommittee members presented during a recent school board meeting.
