The hallways in Hannibal’s Fairley Elementary School were transformed into a French art museum Tuesday during a school-wide art show.
Muraled halls of MAM served as a gallery of student work during Friday’s Art Show. The show featured the artwork of students in kindergarten to fourth grade. Students took their families and friends through a self-guided tour of the school.
Oswego High School Class of 2014 Graduate Emily King was named the recipient of this year’s Elmer G. Hadlow Memorial Music Scholarship, which is awarded annually to an Oswego High School student who pursues an education and/or career in music.
President of the Fulton Noon Rotary Club, Jerry Seguin had the pleasure of proudly awarding Merrill Hoffman with this year’s Rotarian of Excellence for his dedicated and faithful service to Rotary for 25 years. It was noted that Merrill has a quiet presence, but is always there when you need him.
An annual tradition of fun and learning continued Friday when guest speakers, experts and animals flocked to Volney Elementary School for its Earth Day celebration. Students in each grade level had a chance to view presentations and participate in a variety of activities during the day.
The Oswego Lions Club with host the third annual River’s Edge “handmade” Craft Show on June 8. The event will take place along the beautiful river’s edge, on West Liner Park, in Oswego. Hours for the craft show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
SUNY Oswego’s Penfield Library will hold a book sale for the public from 1 to 4 p.m. June 6, and 9 to 11 a.m. June 7, on the library’s lower level.
