In the eight vignettes that comprise Almost, Maine, audiences get to look through a keyhole at the lives and loves of some of the citizens of the magical, mystical – and fictional – town that lends the play its title. Performances of this charming comedy begin on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Dozens gathered recently at the invitation-only unveiling of a historic map of Oswego restored after 160 years. Sometime in the 1900s this map found its way into the director’s office at the Oswego Public Library where it hung until the library was renovated in 2005.

The Oswego City School District Board of Education recently thanked and recognized retiring teachers and support staff members. Nearly 300 years of experience will be leaving the district as a result of these retirements.

Friends of Camp Hollis will host a fun-filled day at Camp Hollis at its annual open house from 1 to 4 p.m. May 18. “This is a great opportunity to visit the site, ask questions, meet some of the camp staff, and experience a taste of the camping environment,” said Brandon Morey, coordinator of recreation and youth development for the Oswego City – County Youth Bureau and director of Camp Hollis.
