CAC Salutes Volunteer of the Year

The Oswego Town Historical Society will host its April meeting on April 16 at 6:30 p.m.
at the Oswego Town Hall, 2320 County Route 7. The guest speaker will be Jim Farfaglia who will present his new book Of The Earth, interviews with muck farmers of the area.
Come join other men from the Oswego area for a day of fellowship, encouragement, teaching and food. Guest speaker Christian recording artist Phil Joel will be the speaker and workshops led by Oswego area pastors Bill King, Kit Swartz and Wade Smith. The conference will be April 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Fulton Junior High School’s Music Department recently held a spring concert as part of Music In Our Schools Month. Throughout the evening, students read short narratives, expressing what music meant to them. “Without music, my life would be dull,” said one student.
Safety Sue, the bike safety puppet, operated by Fairgrieve sixth grader Samantha Humphrey, accompanied Billie Crandall Brady from the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board to talk to Fairgrieve students about the importance of wearing your helmet while riding your bike, skate board, scooter or in-line skates.
Oswego Hospital welcomes Hospitalist Clarissa Del Rosario, MD, to its active medical staff. As a hospitalist, Dr. Del Rosario will care for inpatients at Oswego Hospital, whose primary care physicians have opted to take advantage of the healthcare facility’s hospitalist program.
Members of the Child Advocacy Center’s Multi-Disciplinary Team were recently recognized at the agency’s Annual Meeting for their extraordinary investigative efforts.
Over the past year the CAC served 475 children, provided more than 3,000 therapy sessions, and forensically investigated more than 211 cases.
The following student athletes at Binghamton University, were named to the fall 2013 Athletic Director’s Honor Roll after achieving semester grade point averages of 3.30 or higher.
Area students in grades 3 through 10 will have the opportunity to audition for a part in a very special youth musical to be presented during Harborfest 2014. The production this year is Peter Pan the Musical, book, music and lyrics by Piers Chater Robinson, through ITM, Ltd.
Dr. Ed Galvin Jr. at Port City Chiropractic has donated a Chiroflow Premium Watebase pillow; one of the many valuable prizes to be awarded during the raffle drawing party on May 31 at the Oswego Elks Lodge.
