In spite of snow and cold, CNY Arts Center’s Gifts of the Season Dinner Cabaret was a fun-filled evening and a resounding success. In a vivid décor of purple and gold, more than 70 guests enjoyed a menu of roast beef, glazed chicken, roasted vegetables and salad prepared by Chef Joshua Lamb, with holiday pies from Treat Me Sweet.

Assemblyman Will Barclay said Wednesday he is in support of a proposed code change to allow family farms temporary use permits. If enacted, agricultural producers would be able to open their facilities to visitors on weekends and farms would be able to host special events on premise, as long as facilities were deemed safe by the state.

The Oswego Middle School Holiday Food Drive and Hallway Decoration Contest had a successful conclusion. More than 1,400 food items will be donated to the Salvation Army.
With cases of flu increasing, the Oswego County Health Department is urging residents to stay home if they are sick and follow other preventive measures to limit the spread of the flu. “Flu activity is currently present in Oswego County and increasing across New York State,” said Jiancheng Huang, Oswego County Public Health Director.
