The Relationships Across Development Laboratory at SUNY Oswego is inviting mothers and children (ages one month to five years) to join our research studies examining attachment and mother-child relationships. The average time commitment is approximately two hours each visit.

The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a new Introduction to Windows 8 workshop on October 25. This class is free and runs from 10 a.m. to noon.

At the October PTG event, nearly 250 people packed Granby Elementary School’s cafeteria during the school’s annual Grandparent Bingo event.

Oswego County Hospice will honor the memories of deceased loved ones at its annual Memorial Service on October 20.  The service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Fulton Alliance Church on State Route 48 in Fulton.

Northern Oswego County Health Services, Inc., operator of the Pulaski Health Center, will conduct a flu shot clinic at its location at 61 Delano St., Pulaski. The flu shot clinic will be held on October 25 from 1until 5 p.m. and on November 11 from 5 until 7 p.m.

The two Rotary clubs in Fulton, Noon and Sunrise, are pleased to sponsor a high school foreign exchange student this school year. Her name is Fabiane Fernandes da Silva from the city of Para de Minas, Brazil. Fabiane is a 16-year-old junior at Fulton High School.

With much hard work and determination, Daniel Patane of Fulton, NY graduated as a member of the 209th class from the University of Akron. In all, the summer 2013 class consists of 1,260 candidates from 24 states and 30 countries.

Sarah Skinner, the 2010 Salutatorian of Oswego High School, was recently one of ten student athletes to received the University of Rochester Garnish Award. The Garnish Program was created in honor of Lysle “Spike” Garnish, coach and mentor to many U of R student-athletes from 1930 to 1948.
