It has been my pleasure to serve the people of Fulton in the Oswego County Legislature. During my tenure I have continued to educate myself in government. Holding the line and tightening the belt during difficult economic times is essential to keeping taxes stable.

The Fulton Family YMCA is letting members and non-members show their inner hero with our Superhero Adventure Party on October 12   from 1 – 2:30 p.m. This event is designed to bring fathers, uncles, grandfathers and a special little boy in their lives together in order to save the YMCA from evil.

A grant from the Gifford Foundation will enable St. Francis Commons staff to receive specialized training in the effective care of individuals with a dementia-related or memory deficit illness.

Two of Oswego’s best chefs will be creating six delicious courses for guests of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County’s Fourth Annual Oswego County Harvest Dinner on October 18. The dinner will showcase the quality and diversity of agriculture in Oswego County by featuring locally grown and sourced food from local farmers and agriculture businesses.

For the past two years, Ritchie has partnered with the New York State Military Museum and Veterans Research Center, located in Saratoga Springs, to submit more than two dozen interviews with local veterans.

Seaway Lofts Apartments, 472 W. First St. Oswego, is proud to announce the newly renovated historic building is full to capacity meeting its November 1 deadline. Bob and Susan Kay Clark accepted the keys from property manager Beverly Munski at the entrance of this smoke-free building on the couple’s 53rd wedding anniversary.

Frank Clavelli Jr. has announced his candidacy for the Oswego City Council to represent the Fifth Ward. Clavelli, a former Second Ward councilor, filed his designating petitions at the Oswego Board of Elections, submitting more than twice the amount of needed signatures to secure a ballot placement.

The officers and directors of the Friends of History In Fulton, N.Y., Inc., have announced that the recipient of the fourth annual Elma J. Smith award is Fulton Savings Bank. The award will be presented at the annual Celebrations Program and Awards Event to be held at the Fulton Polish Home on November 1 at 5:30 p.m.
