Frank Clavelli Jr. has announced his candidacy for the Oswego City Council to represent the Fifth Ward. Clavelli, a former Second Ward councilor, filed his designating petitions at the Oswego Board of Elections, submitting more than twice the amount of needed signatures to secure a ballot placement.

The officers and directors of the Friends of History In Fulton, N.Y., Inc., have announced that the recipient of the fourth annual Elma J. Smith award is Fulton Savings Bank. The award will be presented at the annual Celebrations Program and Awards Event to be held at the Fulton Polish Home on November 1 at 5:30 p.m.
