Hannibal Dollars for Scholars Duck Race Winner Announced

Faith Cook, of Oswego, was the owner of the winning duck in Hannibal Dollars for Scholars annual “Ducks Over the Dam” race. A total of 57 additional prizes, donated by local businesses, were awarded to race participants. Hannibal Dollars for Scholars provides scholarships to graduates of Hannibal High School each year.

SUNY Oswego Metro Center to offer exam for health education certification

The national Certified Health Education Specialist certification examination will be administered at 8:30 a.m. Oct.19 at the SUNY Oswego Metro Center in the Atrium in downtown Syracuse’s Clinton Square. The three-hour exam is a competency-based tool used to measure possession, application and interpretation of knowledge for health education specialists.

Bishop’s Commons Hosts Education Program by the Alzheimer’s Association on Strategies for Managing Challenging Behaviors

To provide caregivers with some useful strategies, Bishop’s Commons Enriched Living Residence in Oswego will host a caregiver educational program presented by the Alzheimer’s Association of CNY. The educational program will take place on August 7 beginning at 6 p.m.
