Singer-Songwriter Christopher Battles will be performing from 5-6 p.m. uly 26, at the rivers’ end bookstore, 19 W. Bridge St., to raise funds for the Literacy Coalition of Oswego County. All donations at this performance will go directly to LCOC.
Patrick Fink and Nikki King, 2013 graduates of G. Ray Bodley High School, were awarded the Fulton Lions Club’s 2013 H. and Mary Dowd Memorial Scholarship and John Scaringi Memorial Scholarship respectively.

English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge once said, “What comes from the heart, goes to the heart.” These simple words perfectly characterize a service-learning project that connected art students in Sara Koblentz’s class at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton with disadvantaged youth in the country of Rwanda.
The New York State Department of Transportation will hold an open house meeting on July 25 regarding a culvert replacement project on Route 49 over Slocum Creek in the town of West Monroe. The open house will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the West Monroe Town Hall, located at 46 County Route 11, in West Monroe.
Amyloidosis is a relatively rare blood disease that develops when protein called amyloid builds up in your organs, including your heart, liver, kidneys, spleen, digestive tract and nervous system. Without proper diagnosis, typing and treatment, the organs can stop working and the patient can die.
More than 30 children are involved in the telling of the classic story which will open Aug 16 at 7 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. matinee on Aug 17 and 18.
