One of the most welcome signs of spring around Oswego is the reopening of Rudy’s Lakeside Drive-in. For those who would like to have a preview, Rudy’s will be serving the next Salvation Army Guest Chef dinner on March 5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The New York State Sheriffs’ Association Institute will begin its annual Honorary Membership drive in Oswego County within the next week according to Sheriff Reuel Todd.
The meeting will be called to order at 5 p.m. The board is expected to enter executive session for the negotiations and personnel matters. At approximately 6 p.m., the board will reconvene the public meeting.
To celebrate the second anniversary of its opening, Lakeside Artisans is presenting a series of Saturday afternoon art events.
Saturday, March 2 at 8 p.m., in their new facility at 357 State St., area entertainers will present an intimate evening of song and poetry, decadent desserts, and raffle items to help raise funds for programming and events.

On March 14 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Chris Sperry, coordinator of Curriculum and Staff Development for Project Look Sharp will be presenting at the Oswego County BOCES.
Learning is an exciting adventure, just ask kindergarten students at Lanigan Elementary School. Since September the school’s three kindergarten classes have been busy exploring the 26 letters of the alphabet.
There are plenty of events and activities planned at the college during March.
