Scholars, scientists, educators and students are invited to submit proposals for the Rice Creek Associates Small Grants Program by Feb. 15. Approved projects must involve work at SUNY Oswego’s Rice Creek Field Station.

The public is invited to pick up a free 2013 Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor calendar starting December 1 at selected libraries and visitor centers throughout the National Heritage Corridor.

ARC of Oswego County’s Senior Program recently celebrated Thanksgiving as program participants and staff shared thanks and enjoyed live entertainment.

Oswego Industries, Inc. program participants welcomed Debbie Holiday from Cornell Cooperative Extension during Thanksgiving week for a demonstration on how to make pumpkin pie in a bag. All attendees were able to mix, pour and taste their Thanksgiving treats!

Oswego Speedway will take part in this Saturday’s Toys for Tots Day of Sharing at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center located on East First Street as a part of the Best Western PLUS Captain’s Quarters hotel. The event offers several free activities as well as photos with Santa made available with the contribution of a new and un-opened toy.

The Oswego Public Library Board of Trustees will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on December 4.
