MOVE 5K Kick-off Fundraiser set today at Office Tavern

The Oswego County Health Department will hold a rabies clinic for dogs, cats and pet ferrets from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 12, at the Oswego County Highway Garage, Route 104 East, Scriba.
Oswego Industries, Inc. employees recently organized an on-site blood drive to support the Central New York Chapter of the American Red Cross. This first time donation for OI yielded 18 pints of blood, each of which can save up to 3 lives.
Entergy’s FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant recently presented the United Way of Greater Oswego County with a corporate check in support of the United Way’s 2012 Annual Campaign.

Each spring, the 44 Rotary clubs in District 7150, Central New York, choose a junior in high school to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards program. RYLA is a three-day experience held each June at Cazenovia College.
Parents and children had the opportunity to see the classrooms, meet the staff and learn more about the program. Oswego Head Start is operated by Oswego County Opportunities which is an agency of the United Way.
“Wicked” Broadway star Kyle Dean Massey will sing hits from “Aladdin,” “Altar Boyz,” “Les Miserables” and even an original from his own senior recital in an appearance at 7 p.m. Sept. 18, at SUNY Oswego’s Sheldon Hall ballroom.
