In an effort to increase support for its 2011 / 2012 Annual Campaign, and create additional excitement for in-house employee campaigns, the United Way offered special prizes as an incentive for supporting the United Way’s campaign.

RSVP, spearheading the effort to recruit volunteers on behalf of the city of Oswego and SUNY Oswego, urges all city and campus residents, young and old, businesses and school groups, to participate in cleaning up the east and west Oswego River walks and the Lake Ontario shoreline within the city limits.

The formal ceremony recognizing the academic achievements of about 115 students will take place at 3 p.m. April 20 in the arena and convocation hall of the Campus Center. An audience of family, friends and campus colleagues of the honorees will witness the procession of faculty presenters in academic regalia.

Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul held ceremonies in February for 200 first-year students potentially destined to study for three more years at seven SUNY colleges. Of those, 53 students have been admitted, contingent on success this year, to spend their final three years at Oswego, starting in spring 2013.
