The culmination of a nearly 10-year endeavor, the new radio translator on Cayuga CC Fulton Campus transmits the signal in Auburn to 97.7 FM, to allow the Fulton community to hear the broadcast.
At a recent Fulton Rotary Club meeting, Rotarian Nancy Kush Ellis introduced Pam Hyland, the CEO of Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways. She spoke on “The Year Of The Girl.”
Oswego County Opportunities will hold paper ballot elections for candidates who are seeking to fill seats on the agency’s Board of Directors. The elections will take place March 19 through 22, at various program locations throughout the county.
The 2012 Fulton Home Show will feature 48 exhibitors along with a special guest, Carol Bradford, a garden columnist who will be available to answer questions and provide gardening tips.
Senator Ritchie discussed state budget funding and was encouraged by the group to sponsor legislation to ban the sale of synthetic marijuana products that are available over the counter and online under trade names like “Spice” and “K2.”
This scholarship was established after the untimely death of Thomas G. Cantine Jr, who was an active amateur radio operator for over 50 years.
“Gutterballs,” an Oz Roller Girls fundraiser at sponsor Lighthouse Lanes on March 23, will offer cosmic bowling and food, chances to win cash and meet the local rollergirls.
“In honor of our silver anniversary, this year’s auction is featuring some of the finest items ever up for bid. Donors have been very generous,” said Peg McKinstry, board trustee and co-chair of the event. “In honor of our milestone there will be some sterling and plated silver pieces offered, too.”
Cantwell & Associates, an affiliate of Oswego Valley Insurance Agencies (OVIA), recently celebrated their first year of business in Clayton, New York, according to Office Manager Robert Cantwell.
