Each fall, the Fulton Veterans’ Council chooses a “Veteran of the Year” from among the memberships of several Fulton veterans’ organizations. This year, Charles Callen was named “Veteran of the Year.”

Emergency Management Director Patricia Egan said that replacement batteries are mailed to residents on an annual basis to ensure proper operation of these radios.

River of Life Assembly of God church is holding free family movie nights at the church, 815 Oneida St., Fulton. Movies will be shown on the big screen in the church sanctuary starting at 7 p.m. every Friday.

The public is invited to the screening of the fabulous Oscar’s red carpet and awards ceremony. The event will be at Auburn Public Theater, 8 Exchange St., at Genesee, downtown, on Feb. 26.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Health and Human Services Committee presented Addie Dolbear with a certificate of appreciation for her 35 years of dedicated service to the Department of Social Services.

At  the recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Diane Cooper-Currier introduced Mercedes Neiss, executive director of the H. Lee White Marine Museum in Oswego, and George DeMass, chaplain for the Titanic Historical Society.

Still images, live music and more will help “IGNITE the Winter!” as Auburn Photography Club unveils its first show with a free public opening on March 2, at Auburn Public Theater.
